cold shrimp soup

This is a recipe that I got from a co-worker over 30 years ago. I loved it then, and I love it now. I hadn't made it for several years, until I finally found the recipe again and made it for Christmas. Everyone loved it. Sometimes I just put it in a mug and drink it! I hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients

  • 1 quart tomato juice
  • 1 can small shrimp, drained
  • 1/2 cup diced green pepper
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons horseradish, grated
  • 1 - minced onion
  • 1 bottle shrimp cocktail sauce (usually 8 ounces)
  • 2 cups diced celery
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic
  • - salt to taste

How To Make cold shrimp soup

  • Step 1
    Mix all ingredients and refrigerate overnight. Serve cold.
