Ingredients

2-16 oz can(s)white northern beans

2-14 oz can(s)chicken broth

1 small jar(s)chicken soup base

2-4 oz can(s)diced green chiles

1rotisserie chicken, deboned and diced
-
1 pkgjohnsonville mild or sweet italian sausage (5 in a pack) casing peeled and broken into a small meatball size pieces
-
2 heaping tspground cumin
-
1 tspdried basil
-
1 tspdried oregano or oregano leaves
-
3 Tbspchili powder
-
1/4 tspcayenne pepper
-
1/2 tspblack or white pepper
-
2 tspsalt
-
2 mediumonions chopped
-
4garlic cloves chopped
-
3 stalk(s)celery chopped
-
4carrots peeled and grated
-
1/2 largegreen bell pepper chopped

1/2 largered bell pepper chopped

1 cwater
-
2 Tbspolive oil
-
·mexican cheese or 4-cheeses, shredded (optional)

·sour cream (optional)

4 ccooked parboiled rice (optional)
How to Make Sonja's White Chili
- IN A LARGE SAUCEPAN SAUTE GARLIC, ONIONS, CARROTS, CELERY AND PEPPERS IN OLIVE OIL.
- ADD ALL INGREDIENTS (EXCEPT RICE, SOUR CREAM AND CHEESE)TO A CROCKPOT AND SLOW COOK FOR 4 HOURS.
- SERVE IN BOWLS TOPPED WITH CHEESE AND SOUR CREAM. SOME MEMBERS OF MY FAMILY ALSO ENJOYED IT OVER WHITE RICE WITH THE TOPPINGS THEIR BOWLS. DELICIOUS!!!!
