This is a good hot and tasty dish for those cold winter days to come. It is pretty simple to make too.

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds chicken breast w/ skin
  • 7 cups chicken stock (2-32 cartons)
  • 1/2 teaspoon each, salt & pepper
  • 3-4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2- 1 teaspoons each, gr. thyme & sage
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups each, diced carrot & celery
  • 1 package 12oz egg noodles (amish)

How To Make momma's chicken noodle soup

  • Step 1
    Place chicken, 1 cup of stock in pressure-cooker, sprinkle seasonings over chicken. Cook for 45-1 hour.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, in a stock pot, add veggies to rest of chicken stock. Cover and simmer until veggies are tender.
  • Step 3
    When chicken is done, let it cool then coarsely shred and add to stock pot. Also add extra stock from pressure cooker.
  • Step 4
    Add noodles and cook for 15—20 minutes or until tender.
