- 1 - fennel bulb, chopped
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- 2 cups hot water
- 4 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1 1/2 cups chopped carrot
- 1 teaspoon salt and pepper
- 3/4 teaspoon deied thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
- 2 cups cubed cooked chicken breast
- 1/2 cup uncooked orzo pasta

Step 1In dutch oven, saute fennel bulb and onion in oil until fennel is tender. Add the next 7 ingredients. bring to a boil. reduce heat; cover and simmer 15 minutes.
