Egg Drop Soup
This recipe came from a pamphlet style cookbook titled "Chinese Cookery" 1973
- 1/2 tsp
- 3 c
- chicken broth
- of sugar
- 1/4 tsp
- 1/8 tsp
- sesame oil
- 1 small
- scallion, minced
- 2 tsp
- finely chopped chives
How to Make Egg Drop Soup
- 1In a small bowl, beat the egg with the water.
- 2Bring chicken broth to a simmer and add the sugar, salt and sesame oil.
- 3Stirring constantly, add the egg to the simmering broth.
As you stir, the egg will form strings.
- 4Stir in the scallion and remove from the heat.
Serve in individual bowls and garnish with chives.
