hamburger soup
This soup has been in my family for three generations and is a staple food with us. It was obtained from a family friend originally and each generation added their own touches. This is my version.

Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger, ground chuck preferably
- 8 ounces mixed vegetables (with lima beans)frozen
- 16 ounces light kidney beans
- 16 ounces crushed tomatoes
- 16 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 - chicken bouillon, cubes
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon basil, dried
- 1/2 teaspoon thyme, dried
- 1/4 teaspoon rosemary, dried
- 1 - bay leaf
- 2 or 3 medium potatoes, cubed
How To Make hamburger soup

Step 1Brown hamburger in stock pot until no longer pink. Drain and rinse.

Step 2Drain and rinse kidney beans and add to pot.

Step 3Add remaining ingredients and bring to boil for 1 minute.

Step 4Cover and reduce heat to medium low. Cook until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.

Step 5Serve and enjoy!
