Ingredients

  • 1 medium
    chopped onion
  • 1 stalk(s)
    celery, chopped
  • 1 large
    chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 tsp
    chopped, fresh, bottled garlic
  • 1 c
    chopped frozen hash browns
  • 15 oz. can(s)
    undrained black beans
  • 2 1/2 can(s)
    vegetable broth
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice
  • 1 Tbsp
    parsley flakes
  • 1/2 tsp
    fennel seeds
  • 1 c
    chopped swiss chard

How to Make Hearty Brazilian Bean Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Place 1/2 cp. of the vegetable broth, onions, celery, garlic, and bell pepper in a large saucepan. Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  2. Add remaining ingredients except chard.
  3. Cook over low heat for 20 min. Add Swiss Chard and cook for 5 minutes.
