Ingredients

  • 1 medium chopped onion
  • 1 stalk celery, chopped
  • 1 large chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped, fresh, bottled garlic
  • 1 cup chopped frozen hash browns
  • 15 oz. cans undrained black beans
  • 2 1/2 cans vegetable broth
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon parsley flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 1 cup chopped swiss chard

How To Make hearty brazilian bean soup

  • Step 1
    Place 1/2 cp. of the vegetable broth, onions, celery, garlic, and bell pepper in a large saucepan. Cook, stirring occasionally, over medium heat for 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
    Add remaining ingredients except chard.
  • Step 3
    Cook over low heat for 20 min. Add Swiss Chard and cook for 5 minutes.
