This recipe is really easy and a crowd pleaser. It is more semi homemade because I use what ever I have in the pantry and the freezer of left over tacos. You can put in all in a crock pot and just let it simmer all day yummy.

Ingredients

  • 5 quarts water
  • 1/2 cup chicken base
  • 2 packages of taco seasoning
  • 2 cans chicken or any left over ck or taco meat
  • 1 1 51/2oz cans pinto beans,
  • 1 package southwestern frozen vegtables/with blk beans
  • 2 cans tomatos or fresh
  • 1/2c cup dried onions
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 medium bay leaves
  • 1/4 cup natures blend seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons cumin
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 package tortilla chips garnish
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded garnish
  • 1 cup cilantro, fresh

How To Make tortilla soup

  • Step 1
    Boil water and add all ingredients bring to a boil turn down and simmer for 45 minutes.. or use your crock pot.
  • Step 2
    Add your own toppings and enjoy!!!
