This recipe is really easy and a crowd pleaser.
It is more semi homemade because I use what ever I have in the pantry and the freezer of left over tacos.
You can put in all in a crock pot and just let it simmer all day yummy.

  • 5 qt
  • 1/2 c
    chicken base
  • 2 pkg
    of taco seasoning
  • 2 can(s)
    chicken or any left over ck or taco meat
  • 1 1 51/2oz can(s)
    pinto beans,
  • 1 pkg
    southwestern frozen vegtables/with blk beans
  • 2 can(s)
    tomatos or fresh
  • 1/2c c
    dried onions
  • 1 clove
  • 2 medium
    bay leaves
  • 1/4 c
    natures blend seasoning
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 2 tsp
  • 2 tsp
  • 1 pkg
    tortilla chips garnish
  • 2 c
    cheddar cheese, shredded garnish
  • 1 c
    cilantro, fresh

How to Make Tortilla Soup


  1. Boil water and add all ingredients bring to a boil turn down and simmer for 45 minutes.. or use your crock pot.
  2. Add your own toppings and enjoy!!!
