Ingredients
- 28 ounces canned crushed tomatos
- 46 ounces tomato juice
- 14 1/2 ounces chicken broth
- 1 cup half and half
- 1 stick real butter
- 20 small fresh basil leaves
How To Make tomato basil soup

Step 1In a large sauce pan, combine crushed tomatoes and tomato juice and chicken broth.

Step 2Bring to boil and cook 30 minutes.

Step 3Remove from heat and stir in basil (cut in small strips).

Step 4Add half and half and butter. Return to medium heat adding garlic powder, salt, black pepper, red pepper, and sugar to taste.

Step 5OPTIONAL - Add shredded Italian cheese on top of each serving.
