tamra’s stove top croutons

I wasn't sure what category to put this recipe in, but I can tell you that my family loves it when I make my croutons. I love to use either everything or sesame seed bagels. I have also used a lemon pepper and dill weed; these croutons went on top of my scallop-corn chowder

Ingredients

  • 1-2 - bagels - i like the seeded bagels, but it's your choice
  • 2-3 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1-2 teaspoon johnny's garlic spread & seasoning

How To Make tamra’s stove top croutons

  • Step 1
    cut the bagels in half, and then cut into cubes; I cut mine into bout 1/2 inch cubes
  • Step 2
    add the cubed bagels to the melted butter, and toss or stir to coat the bagels.
  • Step 3
    Sprinkle the Johnny's seasoning over the coated croutons, and still or toss again.
  • Step 4
    continue stirring the croutons while cooking so they do not burn. Once they are browned remove them from the stove and serve
  • Step 5
    These croutons are best when they are still warm.
