Ingredients

  • 1 large spanish onion, chopped
  • 3 large carrots peeled and chopped
  • 1 bunch celery, chopped
  • 20 liters water
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken soup base
  • 1 bag yellow or green split peas
  • 3 cups ham chopped

How To Make split pea & ham soup

  • Step 1
    add chopped vegetables to soup pot , add the water and chicken soup base,
  • Step 2
    bring to a boil, turn down to a light boil ,add ham and peas. cook until pea are tender.
  • Step 3
    take off and cool. next day, first thing in morning heat over low heat
