This easy and flavorful split pea soup has been a favorite for years with my family. Even the little kids like it! It freezes beautifully. It may seperate on standing or refridgerating, but just give a good stir and will come right back together.

Ingredients
- 2 cups split peas, rinsed
- 2 quarts water
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 2 medium carrots, chopped
- 8 ounces ham, chopped
- 2 - large vegetable bullion cubes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon pepper, to taste

Step 1Combine all ingredients in a 4-6 quart crockpot/slow cooker.

Step 2Cover and cook on low 8 hours

Step 3Puree' to desired smoothness in batches in blender or use an imersion wand to blend to taste.
