Ingredients

  • - onion skins
  • - celery
  • - carrots
  • - garlic
  • - parsley
  • - bay leaves
  • - red pepper scraps
  • - broccoli stems
  • - misc. spices of choice
  • - misc. veggie scraps of choice
  • - 2 quarts water
  • - 2 tbsp salt (preferably kosher)

How To Make scrap stock

  • Step 1
    Keep all scraps and discarded waste from food prep in a resealable bag in your freezer.
  • Step 2
    When full, add contents to slow cooker and add water, spices of choice, and salt
  • Step 3
    Cook HIGH for 1 hour and LOW for 3 hours. Strain and store in fridge for later cooking. Lasts up to 2 weeks.
