Ingredients

  • ·
    onion skins
  • ·
    celery
  • ·
    carrots
  • ·
    garlic
  • ·
    parsley
  • ·
    bay leaves
  • ·
    red pepper scraps
  • ·
    broccoli stems
  • ·
    misc. spices of choice
  • ·
    misc. veggie scraps of choice
  • ·
    2 quarts water
  • ·
    2 tbsp salt (preferably kosher)

How to Make Scrap Stock

Step-by-Step

  1. Keep all scraps and discarded waste from food prep in a resealable bag in your freezer.
  2. When full, add contents to slow cooker and add water, spices of choice, and salt
  3. Cook HIGH for 1 hour and LOW for 3 hours. Strain and store in fridge for later cooking. Lasts up to 2 weeks.
