Ingredients For scrap stock

  • onion skins
  • celery
  • carrots
  • garlic
  • parsley
  • bay leaves
  • red pepper scraps
  • broccoli stems
  • misc. spices of choice
  • misc. veggie scraps of choice
  • 2 quarts water
  • 2 tbsp salt (preferably kosher)

How To Make scrap stock

  • 1
    Keep all scraps and discarded waste from food prep in a resealable bag in your freezer.

    When full, add contents to slow cooker and add water, spices of choice, and salt
  • 3
    Cook HIGH for 1 hour and LOW for 3 hours. Strain and store in fridge for later cooking. Lasts up to 2 weeks.
