Ingredients
- 2 cups red lentils
- 1/4 cup rice, raw
- 7 cups water, approximately
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon flour
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 1/2 teaspoons cumin
- - lemon juice to taste
- - salt & pepper to taste
How To Make red lentil soup

Step 1Place lentils, rice & onions with water into a soup pot & bring to a boil.

Step 2Cover & simmer for about an hour.

Step 3Mix oil, flour, salt, pepper & cumin in bowl.

Step 4Add a ladelful of soup to mixture & mix well.

Step 5Pour the mixture into the soup & let simmer until the lentils are well cooked.

Step 6Serve with a sprinkling of lemon juice and crackers.
