I had pasta fazool at a restraunt once,i loved it so much,i just had to make it as i remember it tasting. So this is what i came up with,hope you enjoy as much as i did.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil, extra virgin
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 small sweet onion
  • 3 small celery ribs
  • 2 cans cannellini beans
  • 1 quart tomato's i used fresh home canned
  • DO NOT DRAIN
  • 1 tablespoon oregano, dried rubbed between hands
  • 1 teaspoon raw sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3 cups beef broth low sodium
  • 1/2 cup reserved pasta water
  • 1/2 cup pasta sauce i used garlic and onion
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 pound ditalini pasta
  • I USED WHITE PASTA

How To Make pasta fazool my creation

  • Step 1
    In cold saute pan place olive oil and garlic on medium heat,til garlic is lightly browned,remove from pan and save.
  • Step 2
    saute onion and celery til onions are translucent
  • Step 3
    Add to oil beans,tomato's,seasonings,sauce,sugar,beef broth and chop reserved garlic and place in pan if desired.
  • Step 4
    Cook pasta til just before aldente. drain and place into beans along with reserved pasta water
  • Step 5
    Add parmesan cheese and simmer til pasta is tender.
