- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup purpled onion, minced
- 1/2 cup chopped green chiles
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1 dash ground red pepper
- - crushed tortilla chips, for garnish

Step 1Place avocado in the container of an electric blender or food processor, and process until smooth.

Step 2Combine pureed avocado, milk, and the next 7 ingredients; stir well.

Step 3Cover and chill thoroughly. Ladle into individual soup bowls. Garnish, if desired.
