Ingredients
- 16 ounces dried lentils
- 1 can italian crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup celery, diced
- 1/4 cup sweet onion diced
- 2 cups chopped fresh spinach
- 1 1/2 cups cooked, cubed ham
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 5 cups water
- 2 cups diced carrots
- 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
- 1 tablespoon basil, dried
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon thyme, dried
- to taste - salt and pepper
How To Make lentil soup

Step 1Rinse the lentils and place in a slow cooker.

Step 2Dice onion and celery small. Add to slow cooker.

Step 3Peel and dice the carrots. Add to cooker.

Step 4Add the remaining ingredient to the slow cooker. Stir to mix well.

Step 5Turn the slow cooker on high. Cover and cook for 4 hours.

Step 6Add more water if necessary. Stir occasionally.
