1Mix all spices together in a small bowl
Transfer to an airtight bottle/container for storage
Store in a cool dark place
Use in curries, dal, chickpea/choly dishes...any Indian recipe that calls for Garam Masala
2If you don't have ground spices, you can put everything into a coffee grinder or break everything down with a mortar and pestal.
3REMINDER...if you use a coffee grinder, don't use the one you grind your coffee with as you will not want to use it to grind coffee again; unless you like Garam Masala flavored coffee.
