Ingredients For fruit soup

  • 4 c
    hulled strawberries
  • 1 c
    sugar
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 4 c
    cold water
  • 1 c
    claret wine

How To Make fruit soup

    Rub the strawberries through a fine sieve, or puree them in a blender or food processor. Place them into a large cooking pot.

    Add the sugar, then the sour cream, and mix well. Add the water and wine and heat very slowly over low heat, stirring with a WOODEN SPOON. Do not boil. Serve warm or cold.

    When serving cold, you may garnish with a few whole berries. Can also make this soup using raspberries either alone or with strawberries.
