Ingredients
- 4 cups bermuda onions sliced thin
- 5 cups beef consomme
- 5 cups chicken bouillon
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1 1/2 pounds grated swiss and gruyere cheese
- 12 slices french bread (cut thin and toasted under the broiler)
How To Make fabulous french onion soup

Step 1Melt the butter and brown the onions on medium heat for about 5 minutes. Stir in beef and chicken stock. Cook on low for 20 minutes.

Step 2Put 2 slices of prepared toast in each individual bowl. Fill bowls half way with liquid. Keep adding liquid gradually to the bowls. Fill almost to the top.

Step 3Sprinkle cheese on top (about a half cup per bowl ) Press the cheese all around the edges of each bowl so will form a crust when it melts.

Step 4Place the bowls on a cookie sheet. Bake at 400' for 25 minutes. Enjoy !!
