Ingredients

  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 - eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/8 cup chopped red onion
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/8 teaspoon ginger
  • - chopped green onions for garnish

How To Make egg drop soup

  • Step 1
    In 2 Tb. sesame oil, cook onions until transparent. Add broth and slowly bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add salt, pepper, ginger and soy sauce and stir for 1 minute.
  • Step 2
    Beat eggs in a separate bowl. Slowly add eggs to the soup and gently stir until strands form.
