1In a large pot place ham hock add water bring to a boil, turn heat down and simmer for and hour.
2Pull ham hock out,add potatoes,onions,celery,butter.Simmer untl everything is tender While that is simmering take what little meat is on the ham hock off the bone. place in the same pot
3When everything is tender turn heat down to low add milk, to thicken add Hungary Jack potatoes.You can also add cooked bacon chopped up, and cheese.
