Ingredients

  • 6 slice
    bacon, cooked and drained
  • 6
    potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1/2 c
    onion, grated
  • 2/3 c
    carrots, peeled and chopped
  • 1/2 c
    celery, diced
  • 1/4
    head of cabbage, chopped
  • 4 c
    water
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 2 Tbsp
    flour

How to Make Potato Soup

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine bacon, potatoes, onion, carrots, celery, cabbage, water, salt & pepper in soup pot. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender.
  2. In a small bowl, combine beaten egg and flour. Gradually stir into milk. Gradually add to soup pot.
  3. After milk has been added, simmer but DO NOT BOIL.
