Ingredients
- 6 cups fresh or frozen broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1/4 cup cornstarch
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 16 ounces velveeta cheese
How To Make panera broccoli soup with a twist

Step 1Place the first 8 ingredients into crock pot or slow cooker.

Step 2In a small bowl, add 1 cup chicken broth to 1/4 cup cornstarch and mix until smooth.

Step 3Add cornstarch mixture to ingredients in slow cooker and mix well.

Step 4Set slow cooker to HIGH setting and cover.

Step 5Cook for 4 hours.

Step 6To mixture in slow cooker, add 1 cup heavy cream and 16 oz. Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes. Stir well

Step 7Cover slow cooker and continue cooking on HIGH for 20 more minutes, or until cheese is completely melted.

Step 8Ladle into soup bowls and serve.
