Looking for a new way to use up some celery and some bacon, I came up with this recipe. 1-20-2018

Ingredients
- 1 bunch celery, chopped
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and cut into cubes
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 2 or 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 cups chicken broth, low salt
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 cup heavy cream or half-n-half
- 5 or 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
How To Make crock pot celery soup with bacon

Step 1Place vegetables, broth and seasonings into a large crock pot.

Step 2Cook on LOW for 6 hours or until vegetables are tender.

Step 3Stir in cream or half-n-half and cook an additional 30 minutes.

Step 4Cook bacon on stovetop, crumble, and serve over hot soup. May add croutons.
