This is a delicious broccoli cheddar soup.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper(add more if you like) the more pepper the better the soup =)
  • 3/4 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
  • 1 cup broccoli, chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup pepper jack, shredded

How To Make broccoli cheddar soup

  • Step 1
    In a saucepan, saute the onion in butter until tender; Stir in flour, salt and pepper; cook and stir until smooth and bubbly.
  • Step 2
    Add broth and milk all at once; cook and stir until the mixture boils and thickens.
  • Step 3
    Add broccoli; Simmer, stirring constantly, until heated through.
  • Step 4
    Remove from the heat and stir in cheese until melted.
