Ingredients
- - 4 - strips bacon , diced coarsely
- - 1/4 of an onion, diced coarsely
- - 1 celery rib, diced coarsely
- - 1/2 carrot, diced coarsely
- - 2 small potatoes, diced coarsely
- - 2 cups corn, niblets
- - 3 small tomatoes, coarsely chopped
- - 3 cups whole milk
- - 1 cup cream
- - salt and fresh ground black pepper to taste
- - chopped parsley, garnish
How To Make simple corn chowder

Step 1Add the diced bacon, add onion, celery and carrot into a large pan and fry until the bacon is crisp.

Step 2Add the potatoes, corn and tomatoes. Season with the salt and pepper and allow to slowly simmer, covered for 30 minutes.

Step 3Now you can add add the milk and cream, heat to warm and serve with nice crusty bread. You can garnish with chopped parsley if you like.
