A delicious chowder. I make it for all kinds of functions. Everyone loves this soup. I eat a bowl and not be hungry again for 5 hours. A must try reciepe!!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    breakfast sausage
  • 1 medium
    onion, chopped
  • 1 Tbsp
    garlic, minced
  • 3 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 c
    carrots, sliced very thin
  • 2 c
    potatoes, cubed
  • 2 c
    mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 c
    green beans, frozen
  • 1/4 lb
    pepperoni, either the mini ones or the reg ones cut onto quarters
  • 3 Tbsp
    dried parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried onion flakes
  • 1 Tbsp
    dried dill
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 c
    heavy whipping cream

How to Make Sausage Chowder

Step-by-Step

  1. Cook sausage with onion until lightly browned. Add garlic and cook for another minute. Drain off fat. Stir in chicken broth, carrots, potatoes, mushrooms, beans and spices. Bring to a boil and simmer until vegetables are almost cooked. About 20 minutes. Add pepperoni and cook for at least 10 more minutes. Stir in heavy cream. Serve hot and Enjoy!!!!
