I love tomato soup and grilled cheese but once in a while I like to kick it up a notch and have this yummy tomato chowder. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

minced garlic
4 large
ripe tolmatoes chopped
15 oz
tomato sauce
1 c
frozen corn kernals
1/4 c
chopped fresh cilantro
1 Tbsp
cayenne pepper sauce
1/2 tsp
chili powder
1 c
monterey jack cheese
1 medium
ripe avocado peeled and chopped, optional
1 1/3 c
french fried ,onions, optional

How to Make Santa Fe Tomato Chowder


  • 1Melt butter in large saucepan;saute garlic for 1 minute. Add tomatoes and cook 5 minutes.Stir in 1 cup water, tomato sauce,corn,cilantro,hot sauce and chilli powder. Bring to a boil high heat. Reduce heat; simmer 10 minutes. Spoon soup into serving bowls; Sprinkle with cheese. Also with avocado and fried onions if desired.
