I love it. It is hearty and very tasty. A friend from work a long time ago shared this with me, and it's been a favorite of mine ever since.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups diced potatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced carrots
  • 1/2 cup sliced celery
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 - 10 oz. stick cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 can (15 oz.) cream style corn

How To Make cheese corn chowder

  • Step 1
    In soup kettle, combine potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper; add boiling water. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. DO NOT DRAIN. In separate pan, make a cream sauce with butter, flour, and milk. Add cheese, stir until melted. Add to corn and undrained vegetables in soup kettle. HEAT--DO NOT BOIL!
