I love it. It is hearty and very tasty. A friend from work a long time ago shared this with me, and it's been a favorite of mine ever since.

    diced potatoes
  • 1/2 c
    sliced carrots
  • 1/2 c
    sliced celery
  • 1/4 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 1/2 tsp
  • 1
    10 oz. stick cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 tsp
  • 2 c
    boiling water
  • 1/4 c
  • 1/4 c
  • 2 c
  • 1 can(s)
    (15 oz.) cream style corn

How to Make Cheese Corn Chowder


  1. In soup kettle, combine potatoes, carrots, celery, onion, salt and pepper; add boiling water. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. DO NOT DRAIN. In separate pan, make a cream sauce with butter, flour, and milk. Add cheese, stir until melted. Add to corn and undrained vegetables in soup kettle. HEAT--DO NOT BOIL!
