This is an easy vegetarian recipe that even my meat loving husband truly enjoys!

Ingredients

  • 1 - medium onion, yellow or white - chopped
  • 12 oz. packages fresh broccoli - chopped
  • 3/4 stick butter
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules
  • 1 pound cheese loaf, (velveeta) cubed
  • 1 cup buttermilk

How To Make broccoli and cheese soup

  • Step 1
    Sauté broccoli and onions until onions become clear.
  • Step 2
    Add water and bullion. Boil on high for 10 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Add cheese. Stir often until cheese is completely melted.
  • Step 4
    Add buttermilk and heat until warm.
  • Step 5
    Serve with French bread.
