white bean chicken chili
This recipe is from my sister in law Sheryl Lowery she and my mother in law are avid football fans and love to start a pot of soup before the game so they have a snack at half time.

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons butter or margarine
- 12 ounces boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed
- 1/2 cup onion, chopped
- 3 cans great northern white beans, undrained
- 1 cup water
- 1 can (4.5oz) green chilies
- 3 teaspoons chicken bouillon granules
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- - salt and pepper to taste
How To Make white bean chicken chili

Step 1In a large saucepan melt butter, cook chicken and onion until chicken is lightly brown. Add remaining ingredients, mix well, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, until slightly thickened. Mash beans slightly with hand held blender or potato masher.

Step 2Serve topped with sour cream and cheddar cheese.

Step 3Serving ideas: Other suggestion is cilantro and salsa.
