This recipe is from my sister in law Sheryl Lowery she and my mother in law are avid football fans and love to start a pot of soup before the game so they have a snack at half time.

butter or margarine
12 oz
boneless skinless chicken breast, cubed
1/2 c
onion, chopped
3 can(s)
great northern white beans, undrained
1 c
1 can(s)
(4.5oz) green chilies
3 tsp
chicken bouillon granules
1 tsp
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make White Bean Chicken Chili


  • 1In a large saucepan melt butter, cook chicken and onion until chicken is lightly brown. Add remaining ingredients, mix well, bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, until slightly thickened. Mash beans slightly with hand held blender or potato masher.
  • 2Serve topped with sour cream and cheddar cheese.
  • 3Serving ideas: Other suggestion is cilantro and salsa.
