shhh it's not meat chili

I make this for camping almost every time we go. Nobody ever knows it's made with ground soy! It serves several purposes as well, not just chili, but it makes a great "pizza pie" filling between two slices of bread and cooked over the fire.

Ingredients
- 1 can del monte® petite cut® diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 can black beans
- 1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
- 1-12oz. package boca (or other soy) ground crumbles
- 1-7oz. can diced jalapenos
- 1 - green pepper, diced
- 1/2 - vidalia onion, diced
- 1 can del monte tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 1/2 cups al dente elbow macaroni
- 1 cup chives, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheese (chili preferred)

Step 1Boil elbow macaroni until al dente, set aside.

Step 2In a large pot, add olive oil to cover bottom of pan, turn to medium heat. When hot, add in onions, garlic, green peppers and saute until onions are almost translucent. Add in Boca crumbles, and stir.

Step 3Combine the rest of the ingredients MINUS the noodles, chives, and cheese and stir until well mixed. Let simmer for an hour.

Step 4Add in the noodles and continue simmering for another 2 hours or longer. When done, add the cheese and top with the chives when serving.
