I'VE BEEN USING THIS RECIPE FOR YEARS. EVERYONE LOVES IT AND SWEARS IT'S THE BEST CHILI EVER.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot

Ingredients

  • 1 LB
    ground beef
  • 1 can(s)
    14.5 tomato sauce
  • 1 can(s)
    14.5 dark kidney beans
  • 1 can(s)
    14.5 light kidney beans
  • 1/2 c
    diced onion
  • 1 can(s)
    4 oz. diced green chilies
  • 1/4 c
    diced celery
  • 1 can(s)
    14.5 petite diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp
    cumin powder
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper
  • 2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 Tbsp
    sugar or to your taste
  • 1 c
    water more depending on your desired thickness

How to Make KAY'S CHILI

Step-by-Step

  1. brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Drain off the fat. Using a fork crumble the beef into small pieces
  2. in a large slow cooker combine the beef and the remaining ingredients. Bring to boil over high. Turn heat to low and simmer for 2 hours stirring every 10 to 15 minutes to prevent sticking.
  3. Serve with crackers or corn bread and enjoy.
