Five Bean Chili

My daughter loves my chili so much she wanted it for her birthday dinner... in late June.

kidney beans, light red, canned
15 oz
kidney beans, dark red,, canned
15 oz
black beans, canned
15 oz
pinto beans, canned
15 oz
great northern beans, canned
olive oil
italian sausage links, turkey
1/2 medium
baby portebello mushrooms
1/2 large
green bell pepper
1 c
beef broth
1/4 c
cooking wine, red
1 can(s)
spaghetti sauce (del-monte or hunt's)
1 can(s)
diced tomatoes
4 1/4 oz
black olives, canned, sliced
1 pkg
chili seasoning (your heat preference)


1Rinse all beans in a strainer and set aside
2Dice onion and bell pepper and set aside
3Halve and slice mushrooms and set aside
4Heat a small amount of olive oil in a large over medium-high heat
5Remove sausage from casing and add to pot
6Crumble and cook over medium-high heat for a few minutes then add the mushrooms, bell pepper, and onion
7Continue to cook over medium- high heat until sausage is done and vegetables are tender
8Pour broth and wine in pot scraping any bits off the bottom of the pot
9Add the beans and remaining four ingredients to the pot mixing well
10Reduce heat and simmer chili for 30mins stirring occasionally
