crockpot calico beans-my version
This is my take on a popular favorite. This makes a big batch and is a little "zippier" than the original version. Can easily be a vegetarian dish...just leave out the bacon!

Ingredients
- 2 cans chili hot beans, undrained
- 2 cans black beans, drained
- 1 can cannelini beans-or other white bean, drained
- 1 can butter beans, drained
- 1/4 cup catsup
- 1/4 cup tomato sauce
- 1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 4 slices bacon(optional)
How To Make crockpot calico beans-my version

Step 1Empty undrained chili hot beans and drained black, canellini and butter beans into crockpot.

Step 2Add remaining ingredients(except bacon) and stir to combine.

Step 3Lay bacon(if using)across top of beans. Cook on low for 3-5hrs. Remove bacon and discard, or chop into small pieces and stir back into beans.
