No canned tomato used so it has very fresh flavor and dried cranberry enhances the taste a lot.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 - onion
  • 2 - garlic cloves
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon powder
  • 2 teaspoons allspice, ground
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 2/3 cups water
  • 1/3 cup dried cranberry
  • 1 can kidney beans, canned (15.5oz)
  • 1 - instant bouillon (1 cube)
  • 2/3 pound tomato
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

How To Make chili with fresh tomatoes

  • Step 1
    Mince onion and garlic cloves. Chop tomato.
  • Step 2
    In a frying pan, heat olive oil and cook garlic, onion and ground beef until tender and brown.
  • Step 3
    Add cinnamon powder, allspice and nutmeg. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Step 4
    Add water, instant bouillon, kidney beans and dried cranberry. Bring to boil.
  • Step 5
    Reduce heat and simmer for 10-12 minutes. Then add chopped tomatoes, salt, pepper and chili powder. Stir well. Keep simmering for 10-15 minutes.
