This is a hearty chili/soup/stew, and so satisfying on a cold weekend night. Leftovers make a great lunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds course ground chuck
  • 30 ounces canned chili style beans (in chili gravy)
  • 2 - stalks celery - diced
  • 1 medium white onion - diced
  • 2 medium potatoes - peeled & diced
  • 2 cloves garlic - minced
  • 15 ounces canned corn
  • 46 ounces v8 juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • - salt & pepper to taste

How To Make chili stew

  • Step 1
    ~ Brown ground chuck.
  • Step 2
    ~ Add rest of ingredients.
  • Step 3
    ~ Simmer to cook down for at least one hour.
  • Step 4
    ~ Pass the shredded Cheddar, crackers, or crusty bread.
