I like to make this when I have had a busy day. It works well in the crockpot too. Just cook the meat first.

prep time 30 Min
cook time
method Slow Cooker Crock Pot
yield 4-8 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 pound hot sausage -cooked and drained
  • 1 pound sweet italian or maple flavored sausage (or your choice) - cooked and drained
  • 2 cans pinto beans
  • 2 cans great northern beans
  • 1 can corn - whole kernal - drained
  • 1 can white hominy -drained
  • 2 cans petit tomatoes with cilantro and lime (or your favorite type)
  • 1 package chili mix - i use western family
  • - you can add jalepenos or whatever you want to spice it up more

How To Make busy day chili with beans

  • Step 1
Cook the sausage and drain well. Add all other ingredients, mix well and bring to a simmer. (After the meat is cooked I put all of the ingredients in the crockpot and bring the heat up. If you are in a hurry, just use the stove).
