This is a very fast and favorite in our family. It can easily be doubled and nothing gets left behind.

  • box or can
    large can or box of chicken broth
  • 2 can(s)
    black beans, rinsed
  • 2 can(s)
    diced tomatoes with chilis
  • 1 bag(s)
    sweet white frozen corn
  • 2or3 clove
  • 1/2 c
    lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    chili powder
  • 1 large
    cooked and diced chicken(can buy already cooked from deli
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    sour cream
  • 1 bunch
    cilantro, fresh and chopped

How to Make South western Chicken tortilla soup


  1. Can be cooked in a crock pot or on the stove top.
    Put all ingredients in a crockpot or large kettle except the sour cream and Cilantro.
  2. As soon as soup getsvery hot add sour cream and stir in till well mixed.
  3. A few minutes before serving add schopped Cilantro to the pot.

    Serve with Tortilla chips, cheese, and onions if desired.
