easy chicken tortilla soup

This is so easy to do and it very good...Me and my family have tried this recipe for two years and we love it.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken tenderloins( or 2 med chicken breast)
  • 1 can 15 oz black beans - drained
  • 1 can 15 oz reg- stewed tomatoes ( or mexican stewed)
  • 1 can rotel tomatoes and green chili (mild)
  • 1 can 14 oz or more tomatoes sauce
  • 1 cup salsa (mild)
  • 1/8-1/4 cup fresh chopped cilantro ( you may use paste cilantro 2-3 tsp or 2 tsp of dried cilantro)
  • 1/2-1 cup toppings ( opt) shredded mex cheese, sour cream, tortilla chips
  • 1/2-1 can chicken broth ( add 1/2 can for thicker soup, whole can for thinner soup

How To Make easy chicken tortilla soup

  • Step 1
    Chicken - rinse and put in slow cooker, keep chicken whole. Set slow cooker on high for 4 hrs Or set on low for 8 hrs
  • Step 2
    Add rinse black beans, cilantro, salsa,......just add everything...lol to your slow cooker.Except for any topping...K
  • Step 3
    When done break chicken up with tongs...should be soft enough to do. Add what topping you like and serve. Its really that simply and its good!
