Ingredients
- 32 ounces chicken broth, low salt
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup uncooked , long grain wild rice (not instant)
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped with green tops
- 1/2 cup butter
- 3/4 cup plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon parsley flakes
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups whole milk
- 2 cups cooked chicken, chopped
- 1/2 pound cooked, drained, crumbled bacon
How To Make chicken rice soup

Step 1Combine broth,water, rice, and onions in large saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to simmer, cover and cook for 35-40 mins.

Step 2In medium pan, melt butter, whisk in flour,parsley and pepper. Cook 1 minute stirring constantly, until smooth and bubbly. Gradually add milk, cook until slightly thick, while stirring.

Step 3Add milk mixture to broth mixture, slowly. Add chicken, and bacon. Heat on low, at least 30 mins more. At this time add salt to taste.
