My comment about -- keeping the broth -- is from real life. My mother-in-law was on the phone talking someone through making broth. She told her to drain the broth and when the lady did, she came back with -- now what do I do with all this? She meant that she kept what we normally discard....all the broth went down the drain! My mother-in-law's comment back was...go to the store and buy canned! This is one of the healthiest starts for any soup you use it in!
