beth's first time to make homemade noodles
I made Chicken Soup using a recipe posted on Just A Pinch by Kayleen Rosenkaimer. It included homemade noodles, and I wanted to make them for the first time.(Search for: Chicken Soup with Homemade Noodle Soul ) -her recipe is very good! The day I made the soup I did not have the courage to make the noodles, but this morning (12/20/12) I tried making them! Her recipe includes lemon herb seasoning which I do not have, so I grated fresh lemon zest and black pepper to make 1 teaspoonful. They did add to the chicken soup, and lemon does go well with it. I'm glad that I made the noodles!

How To Make beth's first time to make homemade noodles
-
Step 1Combine all ingredients in a bowl and stir with a fork. Make a ball and work with it until it is smooth, rolling in your hands with a little flour.
-
Step 2Cover and let sit for about fifteen minutes, then on a floured countertop or board using a rolling pin as thin as possible.
-
Step 3As she instructed I folded it over, and over again, and over again, and with a pizza cutter I cut 1/4 inch strips. Unfold them and cut into about 2-inch lengths and drop into hot soup and cook.
-
Step 4Note: mine were a bit thick, so it took about 15 minutes in hot soup to cook them. I noticed the lemon accent in the soup, but I think that is a good flavor with chicken soup! They were not your usual tasteless noodles. It's worth making them.
