steak soup
Sometimes when we make really large steaks we always have some left over. I put the bones and the leftover meat in freezer bags and freeze them until I collect enough for a nice stock for the soup. This is truely made for leftovers, you can put just about any combo of veggies you like.

Ingredients
- 3 to 4 large meaty steak bones, usually i use porterhouse
- 6 ounces steak, more if you have it
- 32 ounces container beef stock
- 2 teaspoons beef base
- 2 medium potatoes
- 1 large onion
- 1 cup each diced carrots, green beans, corn, limas.
- 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/2 teaspoon each salt and pepper or to taste
- 1 teaspoon dry parsley
- 2 medium bay leves
How To Make steak soup

Step 1Put a disposable liner in your slow cooker. You can find these in the zip lock bag department in most grocery stores.

Step 2Dice the potatoes, onion, carrots. Cut the green beans into 1 inch pieces.

Step 3Put the beef bones, steak, and the veggies into the slow cooker, add everything else

Step 4Set slow cooker to low and cook for at least 6 hours.
