My mother made this all my life and I made it for my children and now for my grandchildren. Smells incredible when cooking; serve it with a salad and french bread. I like it best the 2nd day after it is made.

- 2 pounds beef stew meat
- 2 large chopped onions
- 1/2 bunch celery (chopped; use leafy tops too!)
- 6 large sliced carrots
- 1 can green beans (14.5 oz)
- 1 can corn (14.5 oz)
- 1 can diced or stewed tomatoes (about 28 oz)
