- 1 quart tomatoes, canned
- 1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 medium cabbage, shredded
- 2 cans veg-all vegetables (or other brand)
- 1 tablespoon salt (or to taste)
- 1-2 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 cup ketchup
How To Make homemade vegetable beef soup of the south

Step 1Pour canned tomatoes in large pot. Add mixed vegetables (do not drain); shredded cabbage, ketchup, salt and pepper. In separate pan, brown ground beef and chopped onion. Pour ground beef and onion mixture (undrained) into vegetable soup pot. Bring to boil for 2-3 minutes. Turn heat down to medium and cover with lid. Simmer for 1 hour. Delicious!
