How to Make Hamburger Vegetable Soup
- Brown hamburger and onion. Drain and rinse and return to your pan, or add to your crockpot.
- Drain all your canned vegetables - do not drain tomatoes! If you use canned carrots and potatoes, it takes less time and it's really just as good. If you use fresh carrots and potatoes, you'll need to boil both of them to soften. If you use a crockpot, you won't have to do that. They'll get done in the long cooking time.
Add to the hamburger mixture. - Add all other ingredients, stir and cook on the stove, until boiling, and then set aside with lid on to "marry."
OR, add to your crockpot and cook on low for 6 hours. - Be sure and do not forget to add Worcester Sauce, Bay Leaves or broth.
As far as the broth goes, I like to use the canned kind AND the granulated kind. But if you don't have the can of broth, make your own broth with EXTRA granulated kind and add water, enough to make approximately a campbell's soup can full. It'll work out fine. - Add this with hot cornbread and butter.....and some iced sweet tea....and your family is going to be sooooo happy with you, AND with your meal!
Happy Eating!
