I make this all the time.It is my own recipe.We love it.As everyone knows with it with saltine crackers,or cornbread,or rolls.

  • 2 lb
    ground beef
  • 2 lb
    bag of frozen veggies,corn,carrots,green beans,peas
  • 5 clove
    garlic,chopped or sliced
  • 1/2 bottle
    tomato juice
  • 3 Tbsp
    better than bouilion beef base
  • 1 large
  • ·
  • 1 or 2 can(s)
    stewed tomatoes
  • 5 c
  • 3
    bay leaves(scoop out when stew is ready to eat)

How to Make Hamburger Stew


  1. Brown Ground Beef and season with Lowry's season salt.Drain grease.Add meat back to skillet.Add 5 chopped garlic cloves and 1 chopped onion.Cook medium heat for a few minutes.Add mixture to large soup pot.Now add 1/2 large bottle of tomato juice...approx:32 ounces.Add 1 cup water,and 3 Tablespoons of "Better Than Bouilion Beef Base".Add 3 bay leaves.Add 2 cans cut-up Stewed Tomatoes.Add 2 pound bag of frozen veggies and 5 cups cut-up potatoes.Leave skins on potatoes if you like it that way.Cook med-high heat until potatoes are soft enough to eat.Make sure to stir every few minutes while cooking,until you think it's done.That's it.Enjoy!(can simmer as long as you want)
  2. May add more water,or more beef base.
