Ingredients
- 1/2 pound lean ground beef
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 8 slices bacon
- 2 cans 10 oz. each. cheddar cheese soup
- 2 cans 12 oz. each evaporated milk like pet or carnation
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
How To Make cheeseburger soup

Step 1In a medium skillet with cook bacon until crispy; set aside to cool on paper towels. To the same pan and using the grease already in the pan over medium heat add ground beef and onions and scramble and brown until beef is no longer pink. Drain grease.

Step 2Place beef mixture in a medium saucepot, add crumbled bacon(reserve 2 T. for garnish), cheese soup, milk and cheese. Mix and simmer over low heat until hot about 20 minutes.

Step 3Serve in bowls garnished with cheese a little bacon and chives, sour cream too if you wish and have plenty of garlic toast on hand or croûtons. If desired add 1/2 cup uncooked elbow macaroni to soup before simmering.
